We had the most amazing and peaceful vacation ever! Do not mentioned the location and our private host/Chef Lester, who is beyond expectation. Way beyond! The garden is wonderful and relaxing - and so breathtakingly beautiful. We had excellent dinners served and cooked by Lester, I believe we had better then any restaurant there! Do not mentioned about the best private pool ever and nice bay around the property. Cannot wait to go back! The location itself is indeed silent and peaceful, apprx. 3 hours driving form the airport if Colombo. The airport shuttle is available - if you need it. if you are looking for tourist place/restaurant/citylife/etc.. probably it's not your location. If you want/need to spend some time in the Paradise, and make your head empty than this is the perfect choice.

The location of this hotel is incredible. Views of the sea to one side and a lake the other. The lake has incredible birdlife especially at dawn. We watched the sunrise from our balconies watching the birds on the lake. Amazing! The owner is such a lovely man and wanted us to enjoy the whole experience and shared so much local and wildlife knowledge. The pool was a lovely release from the hot weather. Breakfast was a huge spread of delicious fruit and traditional SL food. The village people are all so welcoming and all the restaurants family owned. We had a special experience that we cannot recommend more. Thank you. 🙏

What an amazing find! If we would have known this hotel is so great, we definitely would have planned more than the 2 nights! By far the best rooms and best service we have had in Sri Lanka. The owner runs the hotel himself and takes care of everything. Great breakfast and unbelievable dinner. There is no menu, instead the owner writes a new menu every day, depending whats good and fresh at the market. Unbelievable prices for the food. I paid less for the biggest and tastiest tuna steak I had in my life than I paid for a club sandwich in some other places in Sri Lanka. Great mattress, great pillows. Clean rooms. Hot water. AC works perfectly. The beach was almost empty at times. So this is a great place to relax, enjoy the sun and the beach. It is a bit away from all the hustle and the next city is a bit away, so don't go there, if you want to party. The hotel is right next to a bird sanctuary, so if you want to do a bird watching tour, this is great starting point.

We had the best stay at Maritime Nest Cabanas ! I really recommend staying there if you want to be close to Tangalle and the beaches nearby AND staying in a super peaceful and incredibly beautiful environment, close to the lagoon. The cabanas are beautiful with a super nice terrace, very comfortable bed and nice bathroom. The pool and the common parts are beautiful too. All the staff members were lovely and very caring, answering our every needs, and helped us organising scooter rental and tours. + the breakfast is huuuuge & delicious, we also had one dinner at the restaurant, a big fresh fish, it was awesome. I obviously recommend 1000% !

No words to describe this extraordinary place. Everything is so well done : the house is beautiful, the decorations are amazing, the room is so nice and confortable, the outdoors are magnificent especially the swimming pool, the meals are extremely good and the staff is devoted to you. It lies on the beach, which is beautiful with very few people on it, even though you cannot swim because of the waves. The spa is very good too.

You feel you are close to nature. Lodge feels new and fresh. Bathroom is nice, a European standard, so not common. But most of all owner and manager give each tourist attention and are open to help. We had a great dinner at the lodge, so it’s worth trying, owner is a man of many talents. Last but not least pool is well maintained and water felt great like silk. Beach is close by, waves were crashing hard but if you swim further it’s calm.

We love everything! Highly recommend :) Room was the best view, ocean was so close, there was AC, good WiFi, nice pool. We asked the driver who took us at airport. We enjoyed beach and silence around. Tasty breakfast with fresh juice, nice staff
