We loved everything about our stay. The room was so nice and clean. The breakfast was delicious and we could choose exactly what we wanted to eat the day before. The staff was kind and helpful. It's an old house with a gentle renovation so the spirit of the history was preserved in a beautiful way. All in all we had a wonderful time at Thambu Illam.

Breakfast was good and the dinning area is very spacious. We stayed in 2- two bed room suite and we got one upgrade with a kitchenette free of charge. Very suitable for families with small children. Staff was very courteous and nice. Very close to Nallur temple. Nice Eating places like Lavine, Dinesh Bakery, Ammachi restaurant. J|afna town is easily accessible by Tuk Tuk.

There is also a private swimming pool and backyard. The whole accommodation is five star european standard clean! Janakan, Mehkala and Ramesh took great care of us, we felt better than at home. It was very smooth, The Manager was waiting for us when we arrived. The place was spotless, clean & comfortable. All the amenities were there & the place was neither far nor close to the city central so you could avoid the city noise yet enjoy the easy commute.
