We had the most perfect two nights at Hapu Tales. Muni goes above and beyond as a host, and her team put so much effort into making it a relaxing and comfortable place to stay; every detail has been thought of and the team were so helpful and friendly, we really felt like we were staying with friends. We had all of our meals in and the food was brilliant, authentic Sri Lankan cuisine with lots of flavour. The location is brilliant for exploring the beautiful surrounding sites but definitely make sure you stay long enough to take the time to relax by the pool or on the terrace with the breathtaking views. We stayed two nights and were sad to leave - it’s the perfect place to recharge and relax.

WE LOVED EVERYTHING!!! GlenMyu Estate in Nikapotha is truly a home from home in the Sri Lankan forest. The house is an architectural gem taking full advantage of the panoramic view, set in beautiful gardens. On top of this is the warm hospitality of Michael and Ru, for whom nothing is too much trouble. To cap it all, Ru is a superb cook, so staying here is like stepping into simultaneous programmes on dream houses and masterchef. Delightfully relaxing and fulfilling for all the senses. Out of all our four and five star hotel experiences in Sri Lanka this one was the best!

This was my second stay at Thotalagala, and it was just as perfect as the first time! The bungalow is beautiful and the service beyond compare. Small and intimate, with beautiful rooms for relaxation and a fireplace room perfect for socialising with other guests. Coming into our room at night was a pleasure, with tea and hot water bottles waiting. The staff were so attentive, giving us a slightly better room and packing us a lunch when we left. We are definetly coming back!

We had wonderful stay at the place. The surrounding settings of the hotel is hilly and it was blessed with super view. Room is vary spacious and nicely laid to have maximum benifit of the view. Amazing fusion food with varry attentive staff. Every one there to help you with smile. They set out our dinner at outside terrece. Vary Romantic. We will come back again soon once we finish our round trip.

The staff were beautiful people, very helpful and accommodating. The views are splendid. The FOOD IS THE BEST PART. Amazing buffets, im usually not a fan of buffet, but they were real good. They spoil you rotten. I felt like being within the property only instead of going out.

We had the most perfect two nights at Hapu Tales. The views, the pool, the decor, the hosts, the food. It was all fabulous and 100% worth the long drive up into the mountains. The whole place is breathtaking. They even have their own waterfall in the grounds which the hosts took us too. My children and I loved the 10 dogs who were just so sweet. The food was something else. I can’t rate this place highly enough. I felt so at home here we’re already planning out next trip!

Amazing view, very kind staff and very good food. The bedrrooms are clean with stunning view too. Sri Lankan breakfast was excellent. We could have stayed longer! Very affordable. They are building a swimming pool which will make the place just more than perfect.
