If you're looking for a pension within the mountains with a beautiful view as well as a very welcoming and accommodating host, I strongly recommend this place. The pension is directly facing Geumdang-Mountain and the valley, and the surroundings couldn't have been more pristine and peaceful. When I asked him for some recommendations regarding local taxi drivers through this app, he offered me to pick me up from Pyeongchang station without me asking for it. Right after pick-up, he gave me a tour of the area and also took me to a fantastic restaurant serving trout sashimi (송어회) when he found out that I hadn't eaten lunch yet. He also gave me a different room with a balcony without additional charges instead of the one I had booked when I told him that I came especially for the mountain view. Throughout my stay, he did his utmost to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. The room was clean, comfortable, and very spacious for a single person. If you travel alone, I recommend you book the "Rose/Jangmi" room (장미) - because the view from the balcony was as great as promised. But next time, I will certainly come back with friends, as he offers plenty of more soacious options as well as to grill for your bbq if you bring your own meet. While you should bring your own food, you can also buy water, beer and makgeolli from him for reasonable prices.

All of the staff are very friendly and helpful.I joined In The Soop package this time and the hotel gave many gifts for us.It’s amazing to visit BTS in the soop house. Breakfast is delicious and various. We also booked the BBQ dinner and enjoyed it. It’s my best memory in this Korea trip. I love Phoenix Pyeongchang Hotel sosososo much! Highly recommend.

Room was lovely, directly at the bottom of the slope. We stayed in the sky standard room which was great and had an amazing view of the slopes too. Breakfast buffet was delicious too with lots of western options

The stay was located at an interior place and so it was very peaceful. The host provided BBQ facilities at a minimal cost and it was awesome. The rooms were spacious and clean.

Very peaceful location, room was large and comfortable. Balcony space was excellent. Prime location for getting onto the motorway and visiting the surrounding areas. Some restaurants and a convenience store at the bottom of the hill. But it doesn't take long to get to other areas to find a shop or other restaurants.
