The hotel is absolutely the best choice in Positano! Built in 1955, it retains the classic feel while being in perfect condition. The ocean view room is the best in the area , a view of the cliffs and ocean is stunning day and night. The staff are some of the nicest and most professional people you'll see in the hospitality sector. I can't thank them enough. The rooms are large and beautiful. The restaurant and poolside lounge is one of the best views in the area ....I would recommend it for people not staying in the hotel as well. Food and service was absolutely amazing! If you plan to visit the area, then Positano is the best spot and Poseidon is definitely the best hotel. I'm booking the same hotel and room in my next visit without even thinking.

This is by far one of the best hotels i have ever stayed in. The staff are the most courteous and helpful and go above and beyond for you. Vincenzo the manager is just brilliant and couldn't do enough for us on our stay. The ladies on reception Gabriella and Carmen couldn't have been more helpful. The waiting staff in the restaurant were fabulous. The shuttle bus taking you down to Positano is always available and just a call away. They use whattsapp messenger and are always on hand for anything you need. The views are stunning, the room was so beautiful with very high end appliances including Smeg Kettle and Smeg Coffee Maker along with a Dyson hairdryer. They have thought of everything. This level of service is outstanding and the hotel is rated as 4* but having stayed there i can say for sure it deserves a 5* status. My stay here was just amazing overall.

It is like a personal villa for yourself. You almost never see other guests. The view from the hotel is stunning. Every piece of furniture is top notch. You can even have BBQ there (we cooked great Fiorentine steak there). And it is family friendly. They do not impose any stupid additional payments for kids which you sometimes see in other Italian hotels.
