one of the best locations to stay at Matheran . 15 minutes from the local toy train. 30 minutes from the parking lot. I personally suggest anyone travelling to Matheran take a toy train and not the horse which costs unnecessary money. west end hotel has one of the best buffet and serves great meals for breakfast and lunch as well as dinner. personal preference:- Buffet Friendly staff and overall quality stay

The room for a solo traveller was incredibly spacious, with an additional sun room with chairs and a couch to relax on and enjoy the mountain views. The view from the hotel is simply amazing- gazing over Garbett Plateau. It's one of the most peaceful views in Matheran and you can just sit and enjoy it. The room was old style, but very clean and in great condition. My bed was comfy, the fan worked very well and you can open all the windows to let air in because they all have fly mesh on them to keep insects out. Even though the shower only has hot water in the morning, the water at night is still warm enough to enjoy. The breakfast was delicious and the staff are really lovely and helpful. The pool was great to swim in after a long day of hiking. The location is close to the town but tucked away from any noise. I truly had an amazing stay here.

Treebo is quiet and very big place. The swimming pool is in the middle of dense greenary which is awesome. The place is maintained in it natural format so that one can connect with nature very easily. The place is at a good altitude and near the sunset point.
