Lovely hotel in gritty, fascinating Santiago which we loved. Small kitchen that you can cook in. Clean pool and nice garden with several spots to chill out and a view from the roof. The hotel looks like it's been extended over the years and I think the new rooms are probably brighter than those on the ground floor. Our room was definitely a little dark, but it was clean and comfortable. Josefa and the women working in the hotel were all lovely. There was lots to see and do in Santiago. Great birding and we saw a quetzal

Great sized room. Good pool and access to the lake. Loved the Temezcal / sauna. Gardens were pretty. Staff super helpful and friendly. Didn't eat at restaurant as we preferred to eat out in town, but they were happy to bring us drinks by the pool. Liked staying in Santiago - the whole freak street traveller vibe in San Pedro wasn't for us. We liked being in a proper Mayan town, near market, restaurants, bars, but lovely to come back to island of peace at Tiosh Abaj. Read some of the less complimentary reviews - sure there is a slight air of fading grandeur about the place but for the price it was great.

The location was amazing, literally right off of the main street with a ton of restaurants and things to do right on your doorstep. The room was bigger and better than I expected, it was clean and very comfortable! There was plenty of amenities and the room came with a fridge, flatscreen TV, air conditioning, amazing shower and plenty of outlets. The room had a great view out over the lake and had a door straight out onto a patio with seating and a hammock, on the roof was a hot tub and more seating. The staff were amazing and very helpful, they do laundry too and its very affordable! Maya was our host and she was incredible but all the staff i spoke to were amazing! Would definitely stay again!! :D

We came here and immediately fell in love with this place! Everybody is exceptionally friendly, the restaurant stuff is super attentive. The lady who runs the place is such a sweetheart and you can tell that the personnel likes working here. The garden is fantastic and so is the setting. Try the free kayaks. It’s captivating to explore the Lake on your own.

Big room and comfortable bed. Lake view from the balcony. Beautiful and very clean swimming pool. About 15 minutes walk to town but tuk tuk are easy to find and cheap. (5 Q per person). Breakfast was included. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. Great stay.

Lovely place to stay. Quiet and felt very safe. Nice garden and pool...Hot showers and easy walking distance to cafes and wharf. Internet in the courtyard was great. Has a basic kitchen you can use.

Staff were all very friendly, the hotel price was reasonable, the rooms were clean, there was hot water, the swimming pool was nice, and the hotel is a walkable distance from the rest of the town.

The location was good. It was nice to arrive at the hotel dock and leave from the dock. The restaurant was excellent and the food was fresh. Great service by the waiters. The kids enjoyed the pool.

We loved the property! It had beautiful landscape, the staff was very pleasant and attentive, the rooms were very clean and beautifully decorated, the pool was beautiful, and there were many seating area. It was a wonderful nature escape and disconnection. the view of lake Atitlan on the property is speechless
