The appartment is lovely and furnished with care. Nice materials, cosy. I had a little terrace with plants and a natural roof. Very nice. The hosts who live in anotther part of the building were very nice, helpfull approachable. Good place!

Honestly my partner and I couldn't have had a better stay. We spent a whole week here working remotely, as a means to cover two back-to-back weekend events in France without having to fly out twice from London, nor taking a whole week off work. The moment we arrived the owners came to greet us and showed us around the place. They made the entire stay incredibly welcoming and were always attentive to our needs. The room was large, very large, with enough wardrobe space that we were able to empty two large suitcases into them. The bed was very comfortable and air conditioning dealt perfectly in keeping us cool with the hot and dry 30+C temperatures whilst we were working. Breakfasts were copious, European style (yoghurts, pastries, pancakes, bread, fruit, jams, cereals, fresh bottled juices, etc.). The pool, which we had to ourselves for practically the entire stay, was amazing, and just the right temperature to keep us warm during late night swims, or freshen us up after soaking up the sun on the numerous sun loungers. But the big bonus here was the restaurant. Really. Open from Wednesday midday to Sunday midday, it serves some of the best food we've had in a long time, and at very reasonable prices (coming from London). My partner is incredibly fussy with food, yet she loved every single dish we were served. The mixture of locally sourced fresh produce neatly topped with various emulsions, sauces, and flavourful herbs and seeds, all decorated with freshly cut edible flower petals, added an entire new dimension to this stay. Foodies, this is where you want to be!

From the moment we arrived at L’Imperator Maison Albar we knew we had chosen the right hotel for our stay in Nimes. This is an EXCEPTIONAL 5-star hotel and has truly set the benchmark for luxury and hospitality. Every detail of our stay was meticulously catered to, making it a very memorable experience. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a very warm welcome from GM Romaric Blanvillain. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and we were shown around the beautiful facilities and on to our room by the charming Rievelinio. The hotel combines class, elegance and warmth, with beautiful interior decor and clever use of space and architecture. The pool is heavenly - in fact there are two pools to choose from, an indoor pool next to the spa and an outdoor pool with plenty of sun loungers and peace and quiet. By the pool we were looked after by Quentin with an impressive level of courtesy and efficiency. Breakfast was wonderful (thanks to Natalie and Romane) and served in a calm setting, with the choice of indoor or outdoor seating. What truly sets L’Imperator apart is the exceptional service provided by the team and the way they make guests feel. Many hotels try to be hospitable because that is their job, they are ‘paid to smile’, but the Albar staff are happy to be there and show genuine care for each guest- even remembering guests names when greeting them. Special mention to the Hero’s Pierre and Benjamin, who both went above and beyond in their assistance and care. And the exceptional Fabien (so speedy) Tristan and Frederic, Kaoutar, Doriane, Karla, Clara, Maxime, Imrane, Sabah and Claire. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a truly exceptional stay. We have already re-booked to stay again…it is worth visiting Nimes just to stay at L’Imperator.
