We had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful accommodation. The garden is wonderfully spacious and enclosed, so our dog could roam freely. The spacious rooms were equipped with comfortable beds. The house has a great kitchen where we were able to prepare delicious meals. The pool was just the right size for our group. Wonderful for cooling off in the heat. The owner, Cyrille, did everything to make us feel welcome in his home. That's truly admirable. Thank you, Cyrille, we'd love to come back!

Beautifully restored and extended old farmhouse - a great mix of contemporary interior design, eclectically furnished and decorated with objects collected world wide by its well travelled owner. Ludwig was a first class host and a marvellous conversationalist (spoke impeccable English) with an excellent knowledge of the area and some very helpful recommendations for things to see and do. Substantial traditional French breakfast. Most comfortable bed we've slept in for years. Excellent quiet village location for both a stopover or a longer stay to explore the surrounding area.

Clean and tranquil location, well placed for our cycling trip to La Rochelle, safe storage for our bikes and an excellent breakfast. There was only a takeaway pizza shop in the village for dinner (& it was a Sunday night) but we were able to eat the pizzas with a bottle of wine bought from the same shop in the delightful sheltered space outside the Venise Verte and use the provided cutlery and glasses from the little shared kitchen
