Very nice communication with the owner. We stayed only for one night to go to start the roadtrip in Spain and it was great.

We'd stayed at Finca El Castillo before (in one of the Cabañas) and had been fascinated by the idea of staying in La Cueva, so we were delighted to find it available for when we would be passing through La Cabrera again. Finca El Castillo is a very chilled, relaxed and friendly place with a nice pool area and plenty of space.  It's great for dogs!  It's a little quirky, but that's what we like about it.  La Cueva is definitely unique, but it's also blissfully cool in hot weather, spacious and very comfortable.  The spa bathroom is magical!  Kitchen facilities are pretty basic, but adequate because you have a menu from which you can order food (including breakfast) that is then delivered to your accomodation where you can enjoy it outside watching the squirrels or inside at the massive baronial-style table.  There's also plenty of parking, the staff are lovely and all in all it's just a really laid-back, easy place to stay.  We'll be back!

Amazing. Some comments left talk about ‘finishes’ and being very rustic - people, these, as advertised, are RUSTIC CABINS. The place is a gem. Yes, some tweaks can be made, broom and towel mat, but the setting, the detail of the cabins, the amazing pellet heaters, the 100% cotton sheets (or so they seem). Easy check in, a wee bit difficult to find as lack of signage, but not a big issue. I love this place as a weekend getaway and that it’s a work in progress!
