This is the second time we stayed at this hotel. Everything is perfect here. It is indeed the most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed in Germany. It's service is superb and beyond words, from valet parking, to reception, to luggage carrying to the room. They made you feel being treated like they really care about you. It's a great hotel you must stay when you visit Heidelberg.

Wonderful atmosphere, nice place

Hotel-Pension Berger is located a just a few minutes' walk from the historic district of Heidelberg. It offers free WiFi, a garden and a seasonal outdoor pool.

I've travelled quite a lot in many different countries, and it is rare for me to unequivocally recommend a hotel, but Hotel Pension Berger proved to be one of those hidden gems. The location couldn't be better for my needs - I was there to visit the Astronomisches Rechen-Institut of Heidelberg University, which is next door to the hotel, but it is also within easy walking distance of many restaurants, cafes and shops. My single-bed room was very comfortable, with an ensuite bathroom with high-end fittings, and well equipped with a reliable wifi connection. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean throughout, and in a quiet and safe neighbourhood. Breakfast was served as an ample buffet in a dining room on the ground-floor, with cooked options available as well as cereals, breads, meats, salads, fruit etc. But especial thanks to proprietor Beate Berger, who was so friendly and really went the extra mile during my stay, helping me to make onward travel connections and accommodating my very-late-night check-in. I regret that I don't speak German, but Beate's English is excellent, and I really appreciate her warm welcome.

I liked the original look of the building, and the breakfast area had so many interesting things to look at, the room and bed was very clean and comfortable, the bathroom was spotless and had nice fresh towels, and then there is the spa area, that’s just wow such a beautiful relaxing place.

The desk staff was extremely helpful in re-arranging rooms so that the chlidren could have their room and still be connected to the parents room. The breakfast, apart from having an excellent choice, had staff that were super friendly and helpful, fully understanding the little kids needs. We spent our wedding night here. It’s a beautiful hotel right in the Center. The staff were super nice. The room was comfy and pretty with a good view.
