Our stay at Riverside in Manuel Antonio was more than perfect. My husband, our best friend, and I stayed in a charming bungalow within a beautiful family-run property surrounded by lush jungle. We traveled to several places in Costa Rica, but never before had we experienced a place so immersed in nature — we saw more animals and birds here than in any jungle or forest we’ve visited, including monkeys, iguanas, and countless bird species. Of course, Manuel Antonio National Park is stunning, but what makes Riverside truly special is how the wildlife is right at your doorstep. The property is spotless, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the hospitality from the family is exceptional. Their dogs are wonderful, the food is delicious, and the drinks menu has everything you could want.

We stayed for 2 nights in this beautiful hotel. For us it had a perfect position within Manuel Antonio, with around 5-6 kilometres from the main beach and nationalparc and for that a more quiet surrounding. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, but for other activities you need a car. The Hotel has a beautiful patio with 2 pools, a bar and is a great place to relax or have a sundowner in the pool before going out for dinner. The room we had was well equipped, with a/c, a fridge and a nice bathroom. Towels for pool and beach were provided. Breakfast was à la carte, which was a great change to the omnipresent gallo pinto. The staff was really lovely, most helpful and very obliging.

Everything was excellent -the hotel and its gardens are very beautiful, the room was very spacious and clean, with a fantastic ocean view, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, clean and beautiful swimming pools. You can see a lot of animals and birds around - monkeys, sloths, parrots, iguanas and many others. Very useful free return shuttle to Manuel Antonio Park.

The staff will go above and beyond to make you feel special. The guys driving the buggies are incredibly nice and they will show you sloths! You will have a dedicated member of staff answering all your queries. We had Pamela who was very prompt and sweet. There is a Macao’s rescue centre inside the property land and it is possible to visit it for free with a guide. The guide, Clarence, is SO good that we decided to go to Manuel Antonio park only because he was leading the visit. It really worth it! We booked one night and we extended one more night And finally, you can see sloths 🦥!

Very, very friendly staffing. Pet friendly. In fact, they have a beautiful dog on the reception. Really comfortable and spacious room with free coffee and popcorn for you. There's a relaxing place with a view to the trees, 2 swimming pools, and a delicious breakfast.

Location is great. Walking distance to the beach, beach has monkeys. Can see monkeys from the balcony too. Right next to the national park which is great. Had a small cooking area which was great. And swimming pool, raccoons came into the hotel in the evening which the kids loved. Carlo was super nice and helpful.

Wonderful open roof shower, great view from the terrace, amazing sounds of nature. Clean room, helpful staff, cool swimming pools. It's totally recommended!

I loved the beach , the swimming pool, the room was ok and clean. The breakfast was poor . The cooks were not really into it . There was not labels in the different kind of foods offered . The servers and waiters were excellent!
