The host and other staff were absolutely lovely! We decided on the spot to extend our stay by one night. Food was delicious and hearty, decor was unique - all you need in a mountain guesthouse but done with style and great taste (chabby chic vibes). We quickly felt at home in Stefania's appartment, we had everything we needed and slept like babies. :) All the more with the convenience of a hotel, the shuttle to the Laax Talstation, the ski cellar, the wellness/sauna area. The restaurant downstairs "s’nani" was very good (and a bit pricey), and in case we needed, the coop pronto across the street. We had all very clear instructions for self check-in&out from Stefania and great communication, although technically we did return the keys a bit late 😅

The "Soldanella" rooms are connected to the Hotel Adula by a short underground passageway, which is about a 2-3 minute walk at most, so in our opinion this can be counted like any other room in the hotel. - Bedroom was of a good size. The sofas and balconys were welcome additions. - Bedding was of exceptional quality. - Bedroom temperature was good, not too hot or too cold. - Reception staff were efficient and spoke good english. We arrived early and the bedroom wasn't available, the reception arranged for the staff to take our luggage to the room later without us event having to request it! - The spa/wellness area was great, with a large indoor pool and also good size outdoor jacuzzi/hot-tub pool. - Breakfast was varied and of good quality, even though the hotel was "fully booked" it never felt too busy or crowded. - The ski-minibus shuttle service was very efficient with pickups outside the ski room to directly to the lift station (and reverse). When booking, we thought that this may have been a gimmic, but were very impressed by the frequent service. - Getting to the hotel is very easy as it is convinently located a few minutes walk away from the post-bus stop with express busses to Chur for onward travel to Zurich.
