Located 10 minutes' drive from Oudtshoorn, AfriCamps Klein Karoo is a set on a working ostrich farm. It offers luxury tented accommodation in an intimate setting with a private wooden deck overlooking the natural surroundings and estate. It was in a great location and the facilities were perfect.

With mountain views, Thabile Lodge is located in Oudtshoorn and has a restaurant, a shared lounge, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Amazing place to stay in the Karoo. Rustic lodge style - very South African 🇿🇦. We loved it so much we stayed another night. Len and his team were so welcoming and fun. Breakfasts were yummy. Dinner was really delicious - we ate there both nights. The garden is beautiful, views and sunsets amazing. Great place to stay. Situated in De Rust, in a historic building, 38 km from Oudtshoorn Golf Course, Meijer's Rust is a farm stay with an outdoor swimming pool and garden. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The farm stay has private entrance. The setting is beautiful and peaceful and the owner Barry and staff were kind and extremely helpful and accommodating. Barry took us up the mountain to see the fields that he has been regenerating through regenerative agriculture methods which were very impressive.

Each of the tents features a private, outdoor hot tub, and all of the rooms have en suite bathrooms. Every type of accommodation has immediate access to a deck area with extensive views. There are tea/coffee facilities provided. Stayed here on a road trip from Western Cape to Gauteng. The luxury tent was a great experience. Very comfortable bed and wonderful views on the porch of the tent. Great bathroom with jacuzzi bath in the rear portion of the tent. The hosts cooked a lovely dinner and breakfast. The Swartzberg Pass and Cango caves are very close by and both worth doing if you're in the area.

Set 16 km from Oudtshoorn, Berluda offers charming accommodation in country-style cottages located in the scenic Schoemanshoek Valley, 15 km from the Cango Caves. It features 2 swimming pools.

Cottages and rooms at Berluda Farmhouse and Cottages open out onto private balconies or panoramic patios. Some have well-equipped kitchens. The hosts were very flexible on an early checkin and also on dietary concerns. They were also quick to upgrade the room stay. Very easy to work with and a beautiful property. The AC was great and the power was on despite blackouts nearby. They also were not trying to upcharge me for the special meal or for an Ostrich Farm tour in addition to the Meerkats.
