Lovely and spacious cottage which was well equipped with all sorts of amenities which made the stay comfortable and cozy in the cold. Lots of "hints" and info, how things work or where something can be found made it easy to find out how everything is working in the accommodation without second guessing. Excellent information leading up to the stay. Wonderful welcome gifts like freshly baked bread, farm churned butter and delicious fresh farm milk. Just fulfilled the experience for our family. Ouhout Cottage was spacious, rustic yet tastefully decorated and clean. Staff were polite and assisted in any manner or form. The Farm Stall was a delight and were privileged to watch them milk the cows up front. Well worth it, book early to avoid disappointment. Professionally run establishment which only lends to a better experience.

We really enjoyed our time at Tugela River Lodge. There’s so many things to do within the property like kayak, mountain bike, trails, and little farm area. It’s very clean and the staff and owner are super friendly and always willing to assist. The farm stall has a lot of supplies, so if you forget anything you wouldn’t even need to drive out. Very pet friendly as well - everything we could do with our little mini dachshund. She loved her time there and the fenced off area is big and safe. The wood-fired tub is an amazing way to wind down. The view is amazing and Bheki always comes to help fire it up ahead of time. All in all a fantastic experience as a couple, and I’m sure it’d be lovely for a family and friends group too!
