I honestly could not imagine a more perfect place for this! I arrived in Chaing Khong by bus, and Tong (the owner I’m pretty sure!) picked me up without hesitation or charge. The actual property was perfect - I had my own private room and bathroom for the first time in FOREVER and it was wonderful. Everything was clean, there was free water, the bed was big and amazingly comfy, and the door securely locked. I got dinner at the restaurant right down the path and it was wonderful - the staff there were beyond caring and sweet. Free breakfast in the morning then another drive to the friendship bridge to get to the slow boat topped this off. Thank you Panna Kalong!

I didn’t use it all but I did use the washing machine and it has all the racks, washing basket etc to dry everything on the veranda, Paul even supplies complimentary detergent and softener, even has board games if you’re couple or family, a far better option than a hotel. This place really does have it all. It’s so quiet at night as it’s in a residential area but also nice and close to the town with a 7-11 just up the road.

This place is a veritable paradise, so much so that we completely lost track of time at the pool and ended up checking out late. No one was rushing us out or reminding us, just letting us relax and no charge for the late check out. We went during their low season so they kindly and without prompting upgraded our family to their lovely Thai style wood house villa where we enjoyed the cool country air as we drank and ate with old friends. I am looking forward to staying here on our next trip.
