Property was clean, staff was friendly and welcoming, breakfast was good and at a breathtaking location.

Miguel was the ultimate host. He provided us with a tour of the property upon arrival and then provided itineraries for each day based on what we wanted to see on the island via our rental car. He was available 24/7 via WhatsApp for any questions including providing a self walking tour of the Christmas lights. The rooftop bar/pool area was very nice with views of the city. Having access to free laundry on the fifth floor was very convenient. The fresh pastries on the doorknob in the morning ❤️

Each accommodation is elegantly decorated and includes tea-and-coffee making facilities, a minibar, and a balcony with sea views. All rooms have a seating area with a sofa. Location on the ocean was perfect. Staff was friendly and personable.

A game of tennis can be enjoyed on the court, located a 2-minute walk from the Estalagem Da Ponta Do Sol. Guests can also relax the spa & wellness centre where a sauna and massage therapies are provided. Delicious breakfast, exceptional dinner and an infinite pool. For breakfast, you could choose from 5-6 warm meals (eggs, French toast, asparagus..) and a cold buffet (from cereals, croissants and local cheese to pastel de nata). The portions from the menu were smaller but in combination with the cold buffet, the breakfast was just awesome! We stayed in the with the "garden view ", however we could still see and hear the sea. The view was stunning.

Located close to Funchal’s city centre, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Meliã Madeira Mare offers free WiFi, an indoor and outdoor pool and a spa. Its elegantly-furnished rooms offer a balcony and cable TV. When I realized I had forgotten my phone charger at my hotel in Lisbon and started to panic, the staff kindly let me use the reception area to charge my phone. I was truly saved — I do really thank the wonderful female staff member enough for her kindness!

Set in Machico, S A L - Beach Apartments Caniçal is a recently renovated accommodation, 22 km from Santana's Traditional Houses and 30 km from Marina do Funchal. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 500 metres from Beach Pedradeira. The guest house features family rooms. Great place with all necessary staff for travellers. A lot of cafes and restaurants just in a few minutes walks. Pedro is a super friendly and active host, who gave a plenty of local recommendations and directions. Coffee machine with the capsules did my mornings happy)

Cozy, spotless, well appointed home. Extra blankets, plenty of dishes and cookware, shampoo, fresh towels whenever we asked, on a quiet street with a pretty view and parking in front of the house. Excellent WiFi and extremely kind, responsive host.

Situated just 1.8 km from Lugar de Baixo Beach, Panoramic House provides accommodation in Ribeira Brava with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. This property offers access to a pool table and darts. The guest house features mountain views, a sun terrace and a 24-hour front desk. My stay at this beautiful place was absolutely amazing. The house is cozy and offers a breathtaking view of the ocean. I had my own bedroom with a private bathroom, and the shared kitchen on the floor provided a great opportunity to meet other guests. Everything was impeccably clean. While it can get a bit chilly at night in bad weather, an extra blanket was provided, and bringing warm clothes makes it completely manageable. The hosts were incredibly kind, warm-hearted, and always helpful. Their adorable little dog, Simba, was a delight as well! I truly enjoyed my time here and would recommend this place 100%!

Featuring mountain and garden views, this holiday home also provides guests with free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is located 23 km from Marina do Funchal. Super, super clean, well appointed accommodation with ocean views, wild style garden and all the amenities necessary for a comfortable, relaxing family stay. Great host who was easy to communicate with. The only drawback for a person who is mold sensitive like myself was the humidity smell in the downstairs bedroom. Something that seems to be pretty ubiquitous on an island with so much water everywhere.

There is a private entrance at the holiday home for the convenience of those who stay. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Very neat apartments, all necessary dishes and tools in the kitchen. Not far from the main road, the planes were not so noisy, they did not interfere with the rest
