Amazing homestay. The people were amazing and so helpful and friendly. We were made to feel like part of the family. The food was absolutely delicious and we would loved to have stayed forever. I spent two wonderful weeks in this beautiful resort, and I can only recommend it ! The location is perfect if you love nature and tranquility. You will be surrounded by a peaceful coconut forest and have direct access to the beach, where the sunsets are absolutely breathtaking. The staff is incredible : Whether it’s the kitchen team, who prepared delicious meals, or the housekeeping staff, who worked with a level of detail and care that I rarely see. Every time I requested my room to be cleaned, I was amazed by how perfectly everything was cleaned and arranged. But what makes this place truly special is the warm and loving atmosphere. It is run by a wonderful family who treats every guest like one of their own, alongside their friendly pets. I will definitely return.

We had a really nice stay at Galera Lodge - wish we stayed longer! Upon stepping foot their front gate, we were immediately welcomed by their adorable puppy (looked like a poodle). And then, friendly golden retriever quickly joined in. I knew right then that I would love our stay! Apart from the pets, the ambiance in the common area/garden and the cafe was very relaxing. But the real charm of this place is their staff! Everyone was nice and helpful. They made sure we got settled in and attended to everything we need. Our senior citizens definitely enjoyed and so we will come back next time we visit Puerto Galera.

The hosts were great. Malou and Anthony were very friendly and accommodating. They helped with everything from planning trips to giving advice on where to eat, where to go, and what to see. They helped arrange tricycles, guides, and motorbike rentals for us. They let us borrow a power adapter and catered towards our preferences for breakfast. They even came with us on a snorkel/hiking adventure to a nearby beach where we saw all kinds of sea life and ate a wonderful lunch on the beach full of fish, eggplants, bbq chicken, and pork. Sandstorm is only a short walk to the nearby White Beach. White beach is lined with restaurants and bars. You can go swimming, enjoy smoothies/beer, and eat fresh seafood whilst having a wonderful view of the ocean and sunset. I highly recommend staying at Sandstorm! And thank you to Malou and Anthony for accommodating us. We hope to see you oneday soon!
