Richar told us about the island and showed us around, Lucrezia’s cooking is truly wonderful and Isabella is a very nice girl, who would play cards with us in the evening. The rooms are very clean, there is a hot shower and it’s an easy walk from the port of Amantani. The island itself is so peaceful and tranquil, a perfect rest. At night the stars are magestic with Milky Way visible with naked eye. I would highly recommend staying at Richar’s place to experience the magic of the island in its authenticity. Also, from what I’ve read it is much better for the families who live on the island to book a stay directly with them rather than through an agency.

Henry and Mariluz were such accommodating and generous hosts. Henry carried our bags all the way from the ferry landing. Mariluz made such delicious home-cooked meals! The lodge had charming landscaping and stone work, and the hot shower was something we appreciated on the rustic island. What a delight, after a day of exploring, to sit on the lounge chairs outside, read a novel, sip on a glass of wine, and look out at the magnificent view. Plus it was fun to look at Mariluz's beautiful crochet work! Amantani Lodge gets a ten out of ten!

Me and my partner were amazed, had an amazing time staying on lake titicaca. Was great to be surrounded by nature and serenity. Such a beautiful rural location. The host was friendly, approachable and attentive too. food and drink was included and it was filling. The property was stunning and the host invited us to explore and visit the native community which offered an indepth insight into the history and logistics as well. I booked accommodation and in hindsight realised i have also purchased great memories that will last a lifetime. Many thanks again to the host, the hospitality was warm, exceptional and genuine. We hope to the floating islands again one day.
