Special mentions to Benny and Bekar who made our stay wonderful. Always smiling and making sure we had everything we needed. I read before I booked here that some of the service was not good. I found the complete opposite. It was the perfect balance of attention and delivery. We had one of the sea view rooms where we listened to the sea and watched the surfers morning to night. If you are looking for a quiet room where you cant' hear the roar of the sea I'd book one of the garden rooms.

We have our own dogs and cats on the property This is an absolute gem — I cannot recommend it enough! The most perfect location, great owners and staff, amazing homemade breakfast and cocktails. I stayed for two nights and didn’t want to leave.

This recently renovated apartment features a building dating back to 2019, which is a few steps from the Carenero Beach. All rooms are fitted with a patio with garden views. Everything about our stay here was exceptional. We were within walking distance to the beach and restaurants. It was easy to catch a water taxi to go to the main island. Our room was very comfortable and was well equipped. Karen was great to communicate with and responded quickly to any requests. She also made good recommendations for places to eat and water taxis to use. It was a perfect 4 night stay for us!

Maxi is a great host, be will do everything to make you feel comfortable and help with whatever you need. Inside the cabins you will find the story of how Jungle Paunch was built and it is simply inspiring; a true eco lodge. the surroundings are magnificent and you can hear not only all the sounds of the jungle, but also the waves crashing in the sea very close by. an extraordinary experience, with regular visits from many animals! There is also a higher platform on the property that is excellent for meditating in the early morning and late afternoon! the Paunch area is very quiet, and Bluff beach - one of the owners’ passions - is well worth the visit. This property is dedicated to the sustainability and care of the environment and local communities. I loved everything about staying here. The property is so unique and it was an unforgettable experience. I’m writing this review on the last morning of my stay, sitting in my hammock looking out at the jungle, drinking the cacao tea brought to my room this morning, hoping I’ll catch one last view of the mama and baby sloth we spotted on our farm tour yesterday. The food has been outstanding, I looked forward to every meal, and when we did our day trip to Zapatilla islands (a must do - snorkeling, starfish, and dolphins on the way there, then the most pristine beach at these small national park islands), they packed lunch for us to bring. The rooms are so comfortable (obviously there are some bugs, but the netting around the bed works great and there’s ample bug spray and a fan above the bed) and it felt like a little paradise
