idyllic and calm location middle in the nature, close enough to Bocas town but far enough to have a quiet location to relax. Carlo and his wife are lovely and extremely helpful. if we ever go back to Bocas, I know where we’ll be staying!

Together with my 13-year-old daughter I had the pleasure to spend one week in the Pirate Arts Resort on Carenero Island. At first, I was hesitant to fly all the way from Germany to Panama but luckily my daughter insisted. And it was so worth it. Before we even sat foot on the island, we were very well taken care of. Weeks in advance, the managing director sent us a welcome letter which included how to get there, a very nice selection of trips and excursions to do, where to eat, etc. It also included some very practical tips in terms of which insect-repellent to buy and to stop at the local supermarket to buy the snacks you will be craving after dinner. When we finally sat foot on the island it felt like stepping into another world. There was the main house with the restaurant (it was closed when we visited but will be reopened in December and the whole operations will be run by a German chef – funny coincidence) and then there were a couple of separate 2-story houses with apartments in a tropical garden. Oh, that garden. So well maintained and so beautiful. Our apartment had a huge veranda with a table for four, a hammock, some lounge chairs (this is where I enjoyed my morning coffee) and 2 deck-chairs. Ah, and there was a star-fruit tree right in front of our house and we took full advantage of it 😊 On the veranda was a huge ventilator to keep the mosquitos away. Inside the apartment we had a big room with a fully furnished kitchen and living room with lots of books and board games. Our suite had 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. All the rooms have air-conditioning and ventilators. I also loved the fact that there were flower arrangements on every table and a fruit basket in the kitchen. Yummy. Behind the house was a washing-machine and a dryer – all very convenient. The people working there were very friendly – it felt more like a community. You can see monkeys and sloths around the hotel. The views from the bed are amazing. Super clean. Amazing food. Great staff. Extremely comfortable bed.

Location is perfect. The view was amazing. The vibe of the place was great. The food and drinks were nice. The staff was very friendly. Our room M4 was great. Live music was awesome.

Easy to access from the port, nice and cool interior. Easy to get in to the accomodation, with electric door.

Well-equipped apartment, in a relatively quiet place, comfy bed, kitchen etc. The only downside is that it takes a while to walk to get to the places of interest in Bocas. But it can be calculated by the map so i knew what i was signing up for. Everything else was great!

Skully's house was exceptional. We booked for 4 days, but stayed for an extra day. Pool, bar, food court just right here. And that you will get a scooter for a day for free when booking a private room is a nice bonus, considering it is a bit pricey. But well, we live only once, right. And Skully was amazing host, as well as Ed. Girls at the bar did not let the palce down either.
