It's all redone on the inside and outside, while attention was made to preserving historic features. Very private setting with partial view to the ocean. Away from the touristy centre, yet within a walking distance to the restaurants, either along the road next to the shore or via a beach walk. The cottage had everything one would need, cooking facilities, compact cappucino maker, heating, Netflix, outdoor private sitting areas, well maintained garden, even a washing machine. We didn't meet the hosts in person but they were very responsive to our queries and returned the calls immediately. It's wonderful that the owners welcome pet dogs and provide even water/food bowls and dog toys. The holiday home oozes with charm.

Facilities were excellent (great heat pump). It was perfect. Such a fabulous view of the ocean and beautiful birdsong in the morning. Additional touches such as a picnic backpack for guests were really lovely.

Guests can enjoy a TV lounge and access to a fully equipped shared kitchen. very nice place and very clean, the staff were very nice and helped in every problem, perfect location close to a lot of things in the Catlins
