Boasting garden views, Te Anau Lodge offers accommodation with a garden, barbecue facilities and a shared lounge, around 2.4 km from Te Anau Glow Worm Caves. The property has mountain and lake views, and is 1.4 km from Fiordland Cinema. The bed and breakfast also features free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. What a find, the house had been moved 220km to this amazing plot. It was previously a nunnery and all those features had been retained, so the wood and feel of the property was extremely relaxing. The grounds included a railway carriage you could stay in, a wooden boat, carousel, a little lake with a fountain, swings, rocking seats, huge bee structure, the most amazing glass summerhouse with table tennis facilities and outside seating. Kym was the most amazing host, nothing was too much. She arranged our Milford Sound trip on Cruise Milford and recommended the time we should leave and stop off points on route. What I have not mentioned is that the lounge as free beer,wine, tea,coffee and cookies. What more could you want. Breakfast included everything you could want from continental to cooked, selection of juices and tea and coffee. One night we decided to stay in and Kym let us use the kitchen to cook dinner for ourselves and one other guest that we met. Felt very sad to leave and would differently recommend and go back if we can.
