Lush surroundings: the tiny cabins are set back into the forest. You sleep in total darkness and quiet. You awaken to bird song. There’s a hike right from the cabin, and owner Mark is full of good advice of 1,000 other things to do in the region. It’s a relaxed place with a shared kitchen kept neat and tidy and well-equipped. We were there as a couple and enjoyed meeting other travellers, but the place can also be booked for big groups which would be excellent for mountain biking enthusiasts and others. The climb up to the platform bed is pretty steep but the bed was cozy and firm and comfortable.

RENWICK IN THE CITY NELSON, 10min easy walk to City Centre, 4min drive to Hospital, 13min drive to Airport, full kitchen, fast fibre wifi, quiet street, dog... The house was very comfortable, warm and welcoming. We appreciated the thoughtful efforts like the bath salts, kids toys etc. Location was great! Short walk to the town centre for the market and cafes. I would book again.
