He is happy to take you around town, and really makes you feel like family. This enhances the homestay experience and gives a small insight into life in a Newari household.

But apparently it is a place where I want to come back. The rooms and service were good, but as a traveler my expectations are quite low and I don’t really pay much attention to such things. What always matters more to me are the people, warm conversations and the shared experiences. And I got exactly that! In such a short time, I was leaving the guys as if they were my friends. The view of Durbar Square from the terrace is beautiful. There is water available in the corridors to refill bottles, and the beds are comfortable. The place might seem a bit intimidating at first, as it's on the second floor of a bar, but the stay is worth it. I also recommend staying overnight in Bhaktapur rather than just doing a day trip.
