The beds are extremely comfy and can be adjusted in height (for your head and legs), the blinds are electronic and work really well, and the bathroom is filled with lots of additional items you wouldn't even see at top hotels. So a big thanks to our hosts who have made this stay definitely one of the best stays we've had ever, and made our wedding day end on a high note.

The host was lovely. She took us on a brief tour of the grounds and was very informative about the history of the estate. She cheerfully accommodated our dietary restrictions. The breakfast was delicious! Fresh cheeses and fruit, pastries, jams, and the most incredible yogurt with nut granola!! We came to Heerde to visit the birthplace of my ancestors, and this property was the perfect quiet retreat. I could just imagine my Dutch ancestors walking up the country lane to the castle in the 1650's. Magical.
