The breakfast selection is very good and you get more options than only Gallo pinto like in most of the hotels. The staff is very friendly and we had a great time chatting with the swiss owner. The massage was very good and you can use kayaks and tubes for free.

Breakfasts made by Yanet were excellent and different each day with fruits, eggs, rice and beans (gallo pinto) and coffee. The core family (Hébert, Yanet and their son Lester) with whom I dealt with everyday are truly genuine people, they have helped me 200% with research on land/houses in that area (my goal when I visited Nicaragua), We had excellent conversations, like I never had in other Latin countries, all in all if you want to understand this amazing country more and you speak Spanish, you will learn a lot. Also, members of the family are master potters, they have a small studio downstairs where you can buy their work and also, very recently, take a ceramics course on site. Don't forget to ask them who is 'Leo'
