He organized two full day safaris for us - one in Block 5&6 and one in Block 1 of the Yala national park. They were both amazing and we could (besides elephants, monkeys, crocodiles,...) observe 4 leopards and even a mother with her cub! 😍 The huge tent with the veranda was just perfect. We could even observe several animals like peacocks and mungos directly from there. One evening the host's mum spontaneously cooked for us and we even got the dinner served to our veranda. Another evening he took us by car to a restaurant. So overall it was a great experience and I can only recommend this place.

We all loved our stay with Thomasha and his family, they were all lovely and helpful with anything we needed. Thomashas wife even made us a delicious curry and rice for dinner. The building and rooms were all super colourful and cute. Brilliant location to experience a smaller local village but still able to access lots of nearby attractions

The room was lovely, the place was friendly and we had a great time. Great communication between Sam’s place and us before we travelled ensuring all our needs were met when we arrived. We received a warm welcome from the family. The entire stay felt like being guests of friends. The typical Sri Lankan cuisine and the direct interaction with the host family were a special experience. Thank you so much!

It's a genuine, friendly homestay experience with Shali and his wife. They are super lovely people and it was a pleasure to meet them. The house was very comfortable, in fact I had the best night's sleep anywhere in Sri Lanka. It's in a very peaceful and quiet location hidden away in the rice paddys, nestled among the coconut palms, with a beautiful view of the mountains. We saw wild peacocks and lots of other birds. We wish we could have stayed for longer and look forward to our next visit. There are lots of activities and things to do in the area that Shali will take you to. And the food is absolutely excellent, very delicious traditional Sri Lankan cooking - with a special touch that make it a little different to most places. I highly recommend Crystal Water!

Located within 12 km of Buduruwagala Temple and 27 km of Ella Rock in Wellawaya, White Square Home-stay features accommodation with seating area. The property features mountain and garden views, and is 35 km from Demodara Nine Arch Bridge. There is free private parking and the property provides paid airport shuttle service. We spent two nights in this homestay, and it was the first time since our trip to Sri Lanka that we had a real homestay experience, spending time with this lovely family and chatting. The hosts are very attentive; they gave us fruit and juice to taste. The dinner she prepared was absolutely delicious and very generous. The house is huge and very beautiful, the room is spacious and comfortable, and the balcony is very pleasant. We felt really good in this place. We highly recommend spending a few nights here. If you have your own transportation or are willing to pay for a driver/guide, the experience will be even better as you will be able to visit the surrounding area. However, we were not in this situation but we traveled by local bus and were able to arrive from the coast and leave for Ella. We were also able to go to the beautiful Diyaluma waterfall by taking the bus to Haputale for a day trip.

The food was delicious, the service too and the host family was super friendly! Thank you for everything! We'll be happy to come back!
