Fosshotel Mývatn is located next to Lake Mývatn, 6.8 km to the Mývatn Nature Baths. The hotels provides free WiFi and free private parking. Guests can enjoy drinks from the bar and food at the restaurant with a lake view. All is good except no Wi-Fi on our room at 3/F. It was unacceptable in a 4 stars hotel nowadays. Sauna room with a nice view but it’s opens fri. 10:00 am to 10:00 pm only. It will be much better with long open hours

Facilities - it’s a beautifully stylish little cottage on the edge of the lake. The sheep graze nearby and the birds are sitting on their nests. The apartment is extremely well furnished and has everything you need. Was a wonderful 3 nights there

Located within 2.6 km of Myvatn Nature Baths, Birkilauf in Myvatn has a number of amenities, including lake and mountain views. With a terrace, the property also features a shared lounge and a fully-equipped kitchen. Had an awesome stay! The host was super friendly and gave us some great tips for things to do in the area. The kitchen had everything we needed, which was really handy. Just bring your dinner/lunch and cook as if you are at home cause you will have plenty of pots/pans/oil/salt. Our room was clean and modern. We even got to see the Northern Lights in April!

The geothermally heated Mývatn Nature Baths are 18 km away. The surrounding area is popular for bird watching. Iceland’s premier whale watching location, Húsavík, is a 45-minute drive away. We stayed in the cottage, so I can't tell about the other rooms. The cottage was great, very bright on the inside, fully equipped - including a BBQ on the terrace - and very spacious. To top the great accommodation an excellent breakfast was served in the main building - featuring several home-made products. A clear 10 out of 10.

The property is non-smoking and is set 9 km from Myvatn Nature Baths. Clearly the best stay we had in Iceland. This is a truly lovely house where you immediately feel part of a family. We were delighted by the warm reception and the cozy, homely atmosphere. The location by the lake is stunning, offering beautiful views. In summer there are many midges, which can be a bit annoying, but that’s the trade-off for such a scenic lakeside setting. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped—you’ll find everything you need, and even some thoughtful extras like coffee and pasta left for guests. It really felt like staying at our grandparents’ home, full of comfort and warmth. A very strong recommendation, especially if you are traveling as a family. We absolutely loved it.
