Some places you go and somehow all the guests just come together. Shivanker is the perfect host, warm hearted and hospitable. He has created a little backpacker haven. His whole set up is geared toward community. very quiet and peaceful setting, yet a lovely communal area that brings everyone together. I totally understand why everyone loves it. We shared food, made friends and had a wonderful few days that felt like home. He even gave me boyfriend fishing tips and he caught a big fish that we all ate together!

So much, that we extended our stay. The huts were small, but comfortable, everything was clean and the location was amazing - even though it was a 5 minute walk to the local market, the place was chill and quiet in the middle of the jungle (under palm trees). But what was exceptional was definitely the staff - especially the young cook TunTun. His food was just amazing plus he is just a really nice person. We definitely recommend this place to everyone

Logistics including local transport like cab etc were readily made available. The home cooked meals courtesy of the hosts (Manoj's parents) were exactly that - felt like home! My kids who are normally fussy eaters packed in a solid breakfast lunch and dinner every day. We also scored a nice trip to the local fish market on request, that was memorable for the kids. We do plan on visiting the Andaman islands again, and a stay at The Port Vista is definitely on the list!
