There are so many reasons to stay here, #1 being the family themselves. They are very friendly, all around good people. They were super welcoming, helped us with all of our plans and even invited us to join for dinner when it started raining. It was great to practice our Spanish (we are learning) and Angel was a very good teacher, helping us to improve. They made us a different breakfast each morning, including homemade tortillas. Would for sure stay here again if we found ourselves back in Guatemala. Thanks for everything!

The room was very clean, spacious, and well-equipped, even in the details. The hostel is super close to the dock and located in the center, making it easy to access everywhere, such as the mercado, restaurants, cafes, and many stores. Andrea was also helpful and gave me some travel tips for Guatemala as she speaks English! I was very happy to find this hostel in San Juan and would stay again next time :)

We loved the views of the lake, loved the food prepared for us by Jorge, Jochen, Maria and Mia & , loved the hospitality and care we got from Gaby & Elaina. The bed was super comfortable and the experience was wonderful. Property is immersed and designed around nature so it was a wonderful experience.

Hotel atitlan exceeded expectations and has been our favourite Central American hotel so far in our trip. The hotel photos maybe make the rooms a bit dark and dated but in fact they were charming and characterful, and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the restaurant food was great (dinner and breakfast) and the restaurant location is beautiful. The grounds are stunning! If the national trust went tropical this is what you would get. Beautifully kept. The hotel is a little out of town ($4 tuk tuk) but that means you’re out of the bustle and noise of Pana. Gorgeous pool.

Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. The property was very clean, the room was beautiful, and the people were wonderful to deal with. I couldn’t have enjoyed my visit there more.

The views are absolutely stunning, sunrise and volcanoes right from the cabin. I ended up extending my stay. Nicholas was super kind, helpful and responsive.
