Location! Room and service. Staff was very friendly and helpful in everything we requested or asked. Great restaurants and ice cream just outside the hotel.

With a picturesque setting on the banks of the River Dee, this charming Scottish mansion dates back to 1225 AD, and was once home to the Knights Templar. This was a last-minute booking whilst on our road trip, and I am so happy to have stumbled upon it! A gorgeous location and the hotel is very charming. We stayed in a ground floor suite, which had patio doors that opened up onto the river bank. Dinner was delicious, and our breakfast was yummy too.

It isn't the most spaceous, but it was great for the two days we stayed there, and if you're a more wilderness/camping kind of person, I definitely recommend it. The surroundings were lovely woods with some nice walking paths, that especially at night provided some great opportunities for star watching, and the hut itself has a nice little kitchen with everything you need (except maybe an oven, but if you do it right, you can definitely do without that), and a nice and clean shower, the beds were also very comfortable. Every hut also has a fire place outside, and the owners provide firewood upon request, if there is no fire ban at the moment, which can happen if it becomes too dry. I can definitely recommend this if you are looking fora little bit more adventurous stay!

Lovely quite getaway location. Very responsive via booking.com messages. Beautiful cabin with everything you need for a quick getaway. Nice touch with the bottle of red wine and the guest information booklet, made me feel well looked after by the hosts.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in the heart of Speyside! The accommodation was spotless, quiet and comfortable — the perfect place to relax after exploring the nearby distilleries and countryside. Lou and jan were truly exceptional hosts: warm, welcoming, and full of local tips that made our visit even more special. You can really tell how much care they put into every detail. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience — highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!
