The rooms at the accommodation have air conditioning and a desk. Absolutely all staff were so very helpful and thoughtful. (Thank you.) Nothing seemed to phase them. Carefully designed, buildings with wonderful outlook. Do take some time to examine the fossilised corals etc in the stone from which the place is built! Meals were always freshly prepared, beautifully presented and plentiful, with the option of seconds if need be. Vegetarian food was excellent, as was, I understand from friends, Vegan, and meat. The whole site was kept meticulously clean, including the beach. There are gardens with indigenous plants, including those that attract butterflies and moths. Also a formal fresh water feature, the home of numerous dragonflies: a surprise bonus. The infinity pool is generously sized. Security appears to be excellent, as are safety features eg fire hoses, emergency exit signs, pool Life Guard. Outdoor lighting at night is adequate for safety, but angled downwards, so star gazing is possible. The House Reef is easily accessible from a pier a short walk from the Lodge. The Emperor Divers facility which abuts the Lodge gives options of Shore and Boat diving.

The location is perfect, it’s in the old town and right on the sea, you get a really beautiful sunrise. The staff are friendly and helpful, with good recommendations for places to go. Breakfast was really good, and caters for vegans. It was really cool to stay in this well preserved historic building. They also have nice cats :)

The apartment is amazing, a huge one with 3 rooms, it's clean and well organized, fully covered by air conditions all rooms, it's not that close to the beach and here it comes the responsibility of MR Waleed the owner, he has a car and he was organizing trips for us with good prices comparing to the others. He is warm and cheerful person, i really recommend it to you.

Bungalows are simple, with a terrace and bathroom with shower; electricity is provided 4 hours every evening after sunset (after all, it's a camp in the desert!); fresh and local breakfast and dinner are served every day in a place with shared tables and repair from the wind. (Next to the private beach there's a nice beach club where you can have lunch for 10€, and maybe also a fish restaurant - just ask the staff). We stayed 11 days and, if you have the chance and need to disconnect from the chaos, we suggest to stay as long as you can: from here you can enjoy the safe and peaceful local beach with reef, as well as reaching other beautiful isolated beaches and their reefs or even organize amazing day trips with private taxi drivers, always going back to the most peaceful place and the most shining stars. You won't get bored. The owner Fady and the staff are always happy to help, suggest, give you contacts, or even share adventures with you. If you're looking for a posh, elegant place with the sea 30m away, all amenities, aircon, hot shower and cold beer anytime, you should consider to go somewhere else.
