Amazing Guest House, Hafez was super nice! We only stayed for 1 night and hat to go on to abu simbel at 4 in the morning and he even prepared breakfast packages for us. There is a wonderful nubianrestaurant right next to the guesthouse and the nile. We would have loved to stay longer in this village and enjoy the nubian vibe.

The property has mountain and river views, and is 7.6 km from Aga Khan Mausoleum. The guest house features family rooms. The rooms where spacious and clean. I live a balcony and my room had that, i could open my balcony and see allt of the village. It was a quick walk to the ferry station and stores. Upon arrival Tamer send is a cab to gather all our belongings and bring us to the guest house. My children and his children played for hours. They didn’t want to leave. Daily we had breakfast and dinner at the guest house and it was delicious. We had a hard time finding a cheap ride home, Tamer was able to arrange a ride for us at a rate we could afford. If your looking for a safe space single or family, this is an awesome guest house to stay at. The picture below is the view as you approach the island.

The host is very nice and helpful, he helped us to arrange all the things for our transportations and tour, he has a boat, it was a very nice experience to go around the nile river using the boat. The guest is in the island, with beautiful scene and very quiet.

We opted for the taxi service and were met at the airport by a lovely person (sorry, I’ve forgotten all names!) who got us there while pointing out all the local sights. On arriving, what a lovely place! Artika feels absolutely serene, you have the Nile right next to you, and it’s all so quiet. Food was absolutely delicious (with fantastic vegetarian and vegan options), and the drinks were great too. Everyone working was absolutely lovely, and so helpful and caring. Always willing to help with anything you could possibly think of or need. Blissful. They had a few really cute and friendly dogs and puppies as well, but were also always ready to move them away for someone in our group who was scared of dogs. Rooms were really spacious and the beds are huge! Overall, an absolute pleasure to stay here, and would love to come back again! Thank you so much for everything, to all the staff at Artika.
