Everyone welcomed me warmly when I walked in. “KR” stands for “Kareem”, which is the hotel's full name - looking for the full name instead would be easier to locate. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly! Mahmoud, a wonderful young man, serves you with his heart. Another young man - I can’t spell his name, but he has green eyes- beautiful- you will easily recognize him, not because of his red hair and green eyes, but also his bright smile. Overall, my stay there was great! Egypt has the nicest people, and KR has been a highlight of my experience. I really love them and recommend this place to you!

Firstly, the villa is stunning & immaculate. The grounds are well maintained, with beautiful Egyptian art decor,colourful and spacious. The interior is amazing, the rooms are humongous, well ventilated with high ceilings, very large bathrooms & everything a guest would need. The villa is also very safe & secure with cctv cameras all around the property for an extra sense of security. All historic sites in Luxor are nearby including The Valley Of The Kings, The Temples etc while the hot air balloon rides are mere stones throw away.

Located in Luxor, 1.2 km from Medinet Habu Temple, Nour El Balad features a garden and views of the city. The guesthouse is a traditionally built home with lovely little details and decorations everywhere, and palm furniture including the beds. The breakfast included is delicious, but make sure to stay for lunch or dinner — the roast duck and molokhiya are absolutely outstanding! Luxor’s restaurant scene isn’t amazing and we ended up eating dinner at Nour al Balad every night of our week-long stay. Abdullah and his team offer warm hospitality and can also help with transfers and taxis as needed. We have stayed there twice now and can’t wait to return!!
