The owner was everywhere, at the checkin desk, in the kitchen, entertaining customers. He even built a little pond for frogs, so they can survive over the winter.

Hotel Rebstock is located in Rorschacherberg, close to the Appenzellerland region, the flower island of Mainau, the historical town of St.Gallen and the Altenrhein Airport. The view of lake, breakfast was the best, the staff was helpful especially in the dining room. The room was large, making it easy to move around and organize our stuff. We had a kitchen in our room but there was only 1 large spoon, fork and knife. It was rather odd.

The suite had everything you need, was immaculately clean and spacious. Beds were extremely comfy. Shower was spotless and great water pressure. The balcony and night-time blinds were a great bonus. Considering how reasonable the rates are....the breakfast is absolutely outstanding. So much variety and beautifully presented. The owners are happy and friendly - 10 Stars!
