A huge thanks to Victor, Julius and Jessica for making us feel at home. Thanks to Aracelia for the delicious breakfasts and snacks, and Elvis for our great drinks. We were a family of 10 adults, stayed for 4 nights, and thoroughly relaxed and had a good time.

Situated in Maya Beach in the Stann Creek region and Seine Bight Beach reachable within a few steps, Kin Resort Lodge features accommodation with free WiFi, BBQ facilities, an outdoor swimming pool and free private parking. Olivia and Fabio were fabulous hosts for my three-night visit to their K’in Resort Lodge. In fact, the stay was my most positive experience of the nine nights on my trip to Central America. I hadn’t been to Belize before, and didn’t know what to expect in renting a bungalow on the Placencia Peninsula. What I found and got was a spotlessly clean room and bathroom, a wonderful bed, great pillows, modern air conditioning, a terrific shower with hot water I didn’t need to wait for, fast WiFi, a nice ceiling fan, mood lighting, a secure entrance and outside seating area, and even a refrigerator with a pitcher of cold water and a bottle of beer within. On each of the three mornings, Olivia brought me a frothy cappuccino, fresh-squeezed passion fruit juice, and a breakfast treat, also and gave me some company to make me feel at home. The last evening, we actually all shared a dinner, beer, wine, and rum together on one of their outside pavillions— just like we were family members breaking bread as a group. In all, I not only had a good rental adventure, but also made new friends, even getting to meet all three of their beautiful children. They even offered to drop me off at the Placencia Airport when it looked like my arranged ride might not materialize. If you like nature, want comfort, are up for meeting the people who run the establishment, AND don’t want to pay an arm and a leg for it, this is your place!

A few steps from Maya Beach, the inn offers a bar and water sports facilities. There is a barbecue and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. It was pet friendly, clean and great customer service.

Simberts Apartments features garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Maya Beach, 300 metres from Maya Beach. Featuring luggage storage space, this property also provides guests with a barbecue. Featuring a private entrance, the apartment allows guests to maintain their privacy. Quiet, away from the main road. Apartment was adequate for our needs. We were allowed to have our two little dogs stay with us.

The on-site restaurant at Almond Beach Resort is specialized in Caribbean-style seafood, plus European and Belizean-style dishes. Butterflies Coffee Shop serves deli sandwiches, coffee, en-suite made ice-cream and fresh products. Tiki Bar is located by the pool area and serves drinks. The property also has a small palapa where beach BBQ are organized. The property was beautiful and the staff was incredible

Umaya Resort & Adventures is located on the beachfront in Maya Beach, just a 20-minute drive from Placencia. It offers an outdoor pool, an international restaurant and stylish air-conditioned suites with free WiFi. Pleasant staff! Beautiful location on the beach! The rooms are spacious with full kitchens. Large pool with poolside bar. Easy access to restaurants on site. Several nice restaurants close by.

Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony, Cotton Tree Cabin at Freshwater Creek Cabanas is situated in Hopkins. The property has river views. There is free private parking and the property provides paid airport shuttle service. Comfortable, clean, and spacious. No frills but everything we needed in a peaceful jungle location near Hopkins. A rental car is definitely helpful in this location. The sweet canine welcoming committee was an added bonus! We loved this spot, thought it was a great value, and would stay again!
