It feels like you are in a different decade. The room was spotless. The mattress was very comfortable and we the room is spacious. The breakfast area was nice and cozy and the breakfast range exceptional.

We spent six days in their home, located in a quiet neighbourhood just outside the centre of Gjirokastra, with a stunning view over the mountains of the Drino Valley. There are many places to discover in the city as well as in its surroundings and Diana assisted us in every possible way to help us get around. We were also overjoyed by the traditional breakfast of Barda which was made from homegrown and local products. In the morning we would also sometimes drink a coffee together, or we would spent the evenings playing chess and having endless conversations. We truly felt we had becomepart of their family. If you are looking for an homestay experience, this will definitely be the right place to stay.

A short walk to the main town and to the castle (be mindful the roads are cobble and can be steep). Room was clean, tidy. Hosts were absolutely lovely and even ironed a few tops as we had forgotten to pack one. Could not recommend more and will be back in the future.

Since the guesthouse isn’t reachable by a regular car, the owner kindly offers rides up and down anytime, which is a huge help. And the food? All homemade authentic Albanian and so delicious.
