The number one thing I loved was Peter Obbo. This man was our lifeline on the island. We arrived in monsoon rain and this man came out to greet us and show us to our room. He cooked us up some of the best meals I’ve ever eaten. He picked us fresh fruit from the garden, showed us around the island and had the best playlist playing the entire time we were by the pool. Peter even special ordered us food/drinks from the mainland when items were missing on the island. No doubt, the best part. He ran the island.

The host and the entire team were incredibly warm, responsive, and always ready to go the extra mile—nothing was ever too much trouble. And the food? Absolutely outstanding! Every meal was delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and an absolute highlight of the stay. Ensure you try the staple food of Uganda- Luwombo. The place is also near Lake Victoria, The host always went an extra mile to ensure we get fresh fish that had just been fished by fisherman from Lake Victoria for our consumption during our stay there. I had a wonderful time from start to finish and can’t wait to return! Highly recommend it. I couldn’t ask for more!
