Beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Perfect for relaxing and getting away from the crowds that are present in other parts of Zanzibar. The staff are lovely and always willing to help, they organised a great snorkelling trip for us. The food is also very good and well priced, in comparison to some of the other restaurants in Pingwe. We were very sad to leave!

Wonderful hotel right on the beach front. We were lucky to get room 7 which in my opinion has the best view (though very similar for all rooms). The beach is literally right there for us to jump in anytime! Just stunning how beautiful and close to nature it is. We stayed two nights and never got out of the “compound “ even though it’s small, because we spent quite some time at the beach or pool, and one late morning spent 3 hours walking over a kilometer out at low tide to see all the wonderful sea creatures. I like how the hotel fenced off the swimming pool and sunbed areas and it is slightly elevated so you don’t get disturbed by the beach boys as much as if you stay in some other beaches / hotels that are more exposed or more public. The hotel food was slightly on the smaller portion side but enough for us and is high quality. It is mostly Italian food but we went to the hotel next door one time for something slightly different. A small precaution for people is don’t swim at low tide! We learned the hard way and my husband hurt himself being scratched by the coral reef. But the staff (and the restaurant chef I think?) were super helpful and got us disinfectant and bandage and stuff to fix it (he was bleeding and it did look worrisome)

This place is a true hidden gem! The apartments are brand new, spotlessly clean, and exceptionally comfortable, with every detail thoughtfully maintained. The grounds are beautifully cared for by the attentive and friendly staff, who go above and beyond to ensure everything is perfect. The swimming pool is fantastic—so inviting that we spent half our time there, with the other half enjoying the pristine beach just a short stroll away. Elena, the wonderful property owner, made our stay unforgettable with her warm hospitality and invaluable assistance. The location at Pingwe Beach is unbeatable, offering a blend of tranquility and excitement. We loved exploring the amazing local restaurants and witnessing the stunning natural sandbar that emerges daily with the low tide. We can’t wait to return!

Amazing stay! The hotel is just a few steps from the beach — the location couldn’t be better. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and beautifully designed, with a calm and cozy atmosphere. Breakfast was fresh and tasty every morning. What really made the difference was the owner — extremely kind, helpful, and genuinely caring, he made sure everything was perfect for our stay. It’s the best accommodation four a group of friends, family or couples. You have your own house with a lot of space and it has nice furnishings. Also you get a lot of support from the host, if you need anything, but maybe you have to tell them if you need more space. The location is perfect next to the beach, but it’s a quiet place. So you’ll need a car or motorcycle to get to the next bigger city.

Ramona is a warm, wonderful & thoughtful host. The bungalow comfortable & little kitchen ideal for breakfasts & snacks. The beautiful beach is only a few minutes walk. There is a traditional village only a minute walks away, where you can get basic supplies. Ramona's 2 dogs & 2 cats are very much part of the family.

We stayed 2 nights in this paradise-like place. The service and the whole staff is so lovely and perfect. And yes, the food is brilliant! The private Villa is so relaxing, quiet and there is everything you need. Every day, you get 2 fresh bottles with water and even in the evening, you get the bed prepared during dinner.In case the bed is to hard, you easily can put the lounge chair mattresses from outside, under the sheets and then it's soft. You have fresh flowers in the villa and the daybed in the rooftop terace is brilliant. In the beginning of high tide it's brilliant for swimming and even snorkeling for some fishes. And it's perfect, because there are absolutely no sea urchins (seeigel)! We absolutely loved it and are already thinking to come back again at the end of our trip.
