We loved our stay in Kendwa Carletto Style. The bungalow was clean and spacious with a nice patio for relaxing with a book. The staff are really helpful and added little details to make our stay extra special. It was nice to get a feel for the locality on the short walk to the beach. At low tide you can walk over and back between Kendwa and Nungwi. If the tide comes in you can take a short taxi ride or water taxi. There is a really nice Italian restaurant with delicious cocktails on Nungwi beach. Can't remember the name but it's up some wooden steps, right beside the Mama Mia ice cream parlour(not the one at Kendwa Rocks)

I had a great experience in this hotel. The hotel itself is very new, and you can see that in nicely decorated spacious room with quality furnitures and lots of shelves and racks that are more than enough to store your extra stuff. Room was very clean, housekeeping was professional during my stay. Breakfast was great, wifi was strong enough to browse and check your emails. They even have a generator for power outages that are very common in Kendwa. 10 min walk to beach, which is not big deal, you even find a chance to grab a few groceries at a local store on your way back to hotel. Hotel staff was very friendly, helpful and always available to ask anything. They even let me check out after 5pm in my last day which made my day so easy as my flight was late in night. I will definitely book Crystal Coast again in my next visit to Kendwa.

We stayed at Sand and Sunset and had such a wonderful experience. First of all, a huge thank you to the staff – they made us feel welcome and cared for from the very beginning. A young bartender and the lovely girl working at the bar were always kind, friendly, and full of positive energy. I also want to give special thanks to the pregnant woman at reception – she was incredibly caring and helpful when I had a wound and needed assistance. Her kindness truly meant a lot. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh, and everything in the restaurant was served with great attention to quality. The rooms were cleaned very thoroughly, and we really appreciated how tidy and well-maintained everything was. One small detail that could be improved was the toilet with a window facing another property, which felt like it lacked a bit of privacy. But honestly, this was a minor detail compared to everything else. I truly recommend Sand and Sunset, especially because of the amazing staff – their warmth and hospitality made our stay memorable. Thank you for everything! 🌴

We absolutely loved our stay here! The people we kind and helpful, the accomodation included everything we needed, and so much thought was put into the little things: flowers in the room, universal adaptors for power, towels folded into cool shapes, coffee and tea provided with a kettle, two bottles of water to brush our teeth, etc. The breakfast was also fantastic and included a variety of local foods that changed every day. The breakfast include some protein (usually eggs), some local breads, some vegetables, some juice, some local fruits and coffee or tea. We felt so at home , rooms are clean and few steps to beach

Babalao is a small oasis in Nungwi within steps of the beach. It is tranquil and I felt safe as a solo traveler. The room was comfortable and clean in the middle of lush gardens. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. The lounge chairs and bar near the pool were nice. Upon arrival , the owners gave me a short private tour of the area and recommendations for activities and restaurants. They were attentive daily. I also got a very good massage at the Cucumber studio on the premises.

We loved everything! It was in a perfect location for us, close to shops and the beach. The breakfast was amazing every morning. The hotel itself is very clean, modern and intimate with only 4 rooms. We enjoyed staying here and felt beyond safe and happy with our choice. Elisabeth and Alex were amazing and always interacted with us, making us feel like we were staying with friends. All of the staff are lovely and very helpful and Scooby is extra special 🐾

Located a stone's throw from the prestigious Kendwa Rocks & Gold Zanzibar hotels and the beach waterline SunSeaBar Beach Resort is a hidden value gem. Ample room space for a couple, hot water, cold aircon. I recommend the "USA" room with unobstructed view of the sunset over the beach from the balcony. Bonus review: Gold Hotel (10 minute walk along the beach) nightly (starts at 1930) H.U.G.E. multi-culinary cuisine buffet (with entertainment) is a must dine at 45USD/person.

Location is good, not on the main beach but only a short walk to it. The beach directly in front of the hotel is main where locals park their boats. We stayed in 3 hotels between Kendwa and Nungwi beach. This was the best value for money hotel. It’s not expensive and the hotel reflected that but we’re not mad about this at all.
