The location of the farm is absolutely fabulous. Although you may be surprised by the steep hill going to it (so ideally plan your arrival before it gets dark). If you're from a bigger city you'll be amazed by the absolute silence at night (except maybe for the bell on the village church) and by the quantity of visible stars. Although the village itself only has one bar (which I also recommend to visit, the owner is very friendly) and no shop, you can easily reach anything by car during daytime. Also many locations for hikes are within an hour ride. Miha (the owner) is very friendly and helpful, he takes good care of his animals and you can really feel a good spirit at the farm. You can get home made bread, very tasty free range eggs and fresh milk, so if you don't have dietary restrictions, by all means go for it. And also if you're into horse riding or want to try a carriage ride this can also be satisfied by their very nice and friendly horses 🐎 Overall, you probably won't want to leave but I still definitely recommend a visit 😁

Our stay at Chalet Sofija totally exceeded our expectations (which are quite high), from the moment we arrived till the moment we had to leave. First of all, the location of the chalet is out of this world, with views that take your breath away from every angle you look, whether from the room, while enjoying a nice dip in the infinity pool or eating breakfast or dinner from the terrace. The photos do not do it justice, it is unbelievable how beautiful this place is. Secondly and not less important, the hospitality of the hosts, Pop and Aleksandra together with the Manageress Alenka was exceptional throughout our stay and they went out of their way to make us feel at home and that is how we felt during the whole of our stay there. To top it up, the food was expertly prepared and was one of the finest dining experiences we have encountered, exceeding the level of many Michelin star restaurants we have dined at. Pop’s innovative cooking presented us with amazing and delicious dishes with a twist, not only for dinner but also for breakfast. He also served us with very good Slovenian wines that went really well with the dishes served. And, if this was not enough, the room was huge, exquisitely and modernly decorated but perfectly fit with the surrounding nature and offered panoramic views over the surrounding mountains and forest, with a huge terrace from where we could enjoy this beautiful nature up close. I don’t think we will ever find an accommodation in Slovenia that comes even close to what we experienced at Chalet Sofija.

Our stay at Chalet Sofija totally exceeded our expectations (which are quite high), from the moment we arrived till the moment we had to leave. Nice spacious apartments in a quiet picturesque town (there were two of us with two dogs). There is everything you need for a comfortable life. Welcoming hosts who greeted us upon arrival and were ready to explain everything about the accommodation and the surrounding area. Good location near the Triglav National Park and many beautiful natural spots and routes.

Wonderful 4-day stay. Absolutely stunning view of the mountains, with a private balcony. Comfortable bed, immaculately clean, well stocked kitchen with all amenities and lovely shower. The hosts are so welcoming and offered us a drink upon our arrival. They are animal lovers, so we enjoyed meeting their dogs and cats. Truly a gem of a location and place.

Lake Jasna in Kranjska gora is close, so many good restaurants with great food, Italy is 25 min far away, Austria also cca 30 min...The view is wonderfull, so romantic, perfect parking space, appartment is spacious, modern, very clean...Bed was extraordinary comfortable, so good matress...We slept perfect...Owners are truly pet friendly. We came in winter time, so we shall come in spring, summer and autumn for sure. We highly recomend this appartment. :)
