We had a nice stay here for x4 nights before our tour of the Amazon. It was nice to be somewhere peaceful so that we could properly relax & rest before our adventure. I was warmly welcomed by Ben, the host — he was incredibly kind, explained everything clearly, and we had some great conversations. I felt at home and very safe throughout my stay. His dog Gaia was absolutely adorable and added to the homely vibe. The breakfast was excellent, with fresh fruit and delicious granola — a perfect start to the day. The maloka itself was super comfortable and well furnished, with a thoughtful and cozy design. A fun little bonus: Snoopy, the frog in the bathroom — he made me smile every time. :) And even monkeys visited me in the morning. Would absolutely recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful and warm experience before or after retreats.

I’ve stayed one week in the wonderful Guacamayo Azul integrating my journeys in the jungle, and seriously, I have no words how amazing this place is! The house is luxurious, huge comfortable main bedroom, fully equipped kitchen where I felt I could cook as if I was back home. The pool is another sort of privilege; calm and safe location, comparing to the rest of Iquitos. Julio, the housekeeper, would help me with absolutely everything I needed - driving me to do buy groceries, help around the house, even accompanying me to explore the local area’s gems so I don’t feel uncomfortable as a solo female traveler. A special thanks to him! The house is massive and would fit a company up to 8 people, but also it’s an incredible stay for a solo person, who seeks quietness and solitude, like in my case. I truly appreciate my time in Guacamayo Azul, and it only leaves me to wonder why it’s not yet fully booked. I wish you that!
