Kasteel Sterkenburg was a dream! We were made to feel at home straight away by our wonderful hosts. The Kasteel and it’s surroundings are nothing short of breathtaking. Inside, we were mesmerised by all the art and artifacts with plenty a good book to peruse. Breakfast was divine and nothing was too much trouble for our comedic and charismatic hosts. Everything was great. We loved the patio where we could enjoy a nice dinner out with our friends (BBQ with a full moon!). The house was clean and well equipped with accessories. The camping area was also quiet and we had enough privacy around. We loved the layout of the house, with an ensuite bathroom for each of the identical rooms

Very near the train station and also the city centre, so great location. I arrived late, after midnight, but was greeted by a friendly member of staff. The late check out time of 12pm gave me an opportunity to walk around the city centre before I had to check out.

I was just passing through with my dog for a one-night stay but had enough time to walk around in the pretty city of Amersfoort. Vicinity to the railway station plus a quiet, pet-friendly room were priorities - the room was big, clean, comfy and quiet, amenities were great and the breakfast excellent with vegetarian options. The location near the station and a short walk from main sights was perfect.
