Many thanks to the whole crew of Komba Forever! Our stay was an unforgettable experience. Just as stated in countless other reviews, the resort is a small piece of paradise thanks to its location and the very attentive and friendly hosts. Apart from that I would like to mention a couple of things which really set this stay apart. - The food couldn't have been any better! Especially given that my girlfriend is vegetarian, finding dishes can be challenging when on holiday. Nevertheless, Komba Forever managed to surprise us consistently over the course of two weeks with various menus using local ingredients - one tastier than the other. - Our luggage unfortunately didn't quite make it to our destination. So we arrived essentially with the clothes we were wearing and nothing else. Annie and Franco went well beyond our expectations of how much help we can expect from a hotel. They made sure that we had some essentials right on our arrival and organised a shopping trip for basic necessities the very next morning. Eventually they even took care of the delivery of our luggage once it arrived as well. - Finally we had amazing trips to experience the wildlife and the local culture. Bruno took great care in introducing us to all the wonders of Nosy Komba and its surroundings - including locations well of the beaten path. I cannot recommend this resort enough for all trips around Nosy Be. Wish you guys all the best : )

This place is amazing! The view, the nature around and the smell... It smells like paradise, all the time. Our bungalow was very comfortable and perfectly located, overlooking the sea, orchid trees, albicias... - sometimes you don't even know what to look at, because it's all magnificent. The owners were very kind, easy to talk to and always helpful. Same as the stuff - super nice and patient, even when you're a terribly picky eater like me :) Great spot for snorkeling with many others just 15 minutes by boat. Something I didn't know befour our arrival, is that the diving center can pick you up directly from the hotel! So don't hesitate to chose this remote yet very well communicated piece of heaven :)

Despite confirmation # they couldn’t find the reservation from Booking.com. Did manage to sort it out and they agreed to match the reserved price. Clean spacious room with 2 beds. Fan and mosquito nets, generator turned off at 2am though so got a little warm.

This is one of the loveliest hotels we have ever stayed in - we were fortunate enough to have the whole place to ourselves, which really added to the magic and tranquility. Gerard, the GM, was very attentive but not over bearing. We didn’t realise quite how in Lokobe Nature Reserve it was. We saw a sportive lemur on our first night in the hotel grounds and the common black lemur the next day. Completely wild; not fed by the staff. The infinity pool over looking the jungle/sea is so special. The hotel felt wild and in nature but at the same time super clean and welcoming. The food was delicious, one or two options only but every meal we had was delicious and very good value. Simple breakfast but was enough for us. Really just a fantastic stay. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Jean-Michel, Florida and the whole team are very helpful and kind. For example, we asked Jean-Michel in an email that we would like to stop at a "supermarket" to buy few things during our transfer from the airport to Doany Beach. He said okay. And soon he sent an email that he had noticed we would arrive on Sunday afternoon when shops are closed and offered that he buys what we need if we send a list, Wow. Doany Beach is beautiful with its white sand beach (no trash only shells) , crystal clear ocean in front of you, no dangerous currents, beautiful corals and fish for snorkelling (it is easier to find them in low tide). And there are no other tourists, maybe another family as guests. We could see sunrise even from our bed, we only had to open our front door facing to the ocean at 6 am. Brown (female) and black (male) lemurs are coming each evening or sometimes in the afternoon. We got bananas from the staff to make lemurs eat from our hands and let us stroke them (except their tails). As there are no shops or markets, you eat what you get. But do not worry, meals are perfectly delicious and sufficient and as a bonus, you eat in the garden with ocean view. Weather (sunny, 29-30 C, no rain during the day) and the ocean temperature were great. Doany Beach has filtered drinking water. We had no problems with WiFi. There is hot water in the bathroom. You may ask for how many night you should book. It can easily be one week. Lokobe Reserve is in walking distance, Jean-Michel came with us to show the way. It is worth checking Doany Beach's own website, where you see many boat tours offered (e.g. Lemurialand+Mont Passot+Andilana beach, Tanikely, Sakatia, Komba, Iranja, etc.). There are also many other program possibilities, like fishing, water skiing, face painting. You also see the prices on the website. Boat trip price is usually for the boat and not per person. For our family of five, these prices were unbeatable. Watch our Youtube videos.
