Podi Hoona bush camp is a charming place, likely focused on eco-friendly accommodations and offering a closer experience with nature in the vicinity of Yala National Park. If you're planning a visit there, it could be a great opportunity to explore the natural beauty and wildlife of the area while enjoying a unique stay.

So secluded, watering hole opposite hut meant we had our own mini safari all day long with different animals coming along. Staff were incredible, great energy, wonderful with our young children, adjusted menu and timings to suit our kids.

Priyantha and his family gave us an experience we will never forget.The family was extremely friendly and hospitable and Priyantha and his son,Hansa,went above and beyond with their care for us. Communication after booking was excellent. As the location is off the main road and up a challenging but fun dirt track we were met at Yoda lake and followed Hansa to the accommodation,which is located 10 yards from the perimeter of Yala National park. As we were driving our rented Tuktuk,Priyantha and Hansa kindly drove us back to the local town and main roads at the end of our stay. We stayed 4 nights in an authentic mud house which is set in a wonderfully designed woodland setting.Rooms are very private,extremely peaceful and away from all the tourists. Priyantha provided plenty of excellent healthy food as and when you wanted it,you will not go hungry here.A fire was set for us to sit round every evening with the host providing authentic live music after dinner.Three of the healthiest and friendliest dogs belong to the family and will gladly lead you on the many walks available from the property. We saw an abundance of wildlife on the local walks,monkeys,deer,eagles,crocodiles to name but a few.Priyantha kindly took us traditional rod fishing,net fishing,to a secret beach where we were the only two people and were lucky enough to see an elephant very close to the beach in addition to a visit to a local monastery and local temple which had a unique twist.A full day safari tour was also organised by Priyantha with his very experienced and friendly driver,at a very reasonable price.We simply cannot recommend Yala wild house and farm high enough if your willing to embrace an experience never to be forgotten. Thank you Priyantha,Hansa,Loki,driver and family,you all went above and beyond to provide us with the most amazing experience.

Superb! Amazing staff and wonderfully knowledgeable naturalist who came with us on the Safari. His knowledge was priceless!

Since our arrival, we have been treated with immense respect, and all the staff members are wonderfully pleasant and helpful. The surroundings are a peaceful oasis, the food is incredibly delicious, and the bedroom is very clean. We visited a safari, and the hotel assisted us with a driver and a guide—which allowed us to see elephants and even a leopard in the wild! A heartfelt thank you for such a wonderful welcome and unforgettable experiences; we highly recommend this place and will definitely return. ☺️🙏❤️

Food was fantastic, rooms were large and tastefully decorated, staff and host were friendly and helpful. Being immersed in nature while having all the amenities we needed was a breath of fresh air.
