Amazing location in green area. We spotted several animals while just sitting on the balcony (including monkeys, peacocks and kingfisher). The owners are very friendly and helpful, they made our stay very comfortable.

The stay was super nice because the room/cabin I had felt like my own apartment and it was perfect to be so close to nature and do the day trips to Sinharaja forest (which the host organized for me) and everything was cared for like a lunch pack and super delicious dinner on request- and great food every morning anyways:)) all of the people working at Sinharaja rest were so kind and helpful! Unrelated to the host, just about the experience in the immediate area: The area around is like a village, then town with paddy fields and everyday life happening, no jungle, that’s only when you enter the Sinharaja reserve with a guide. But that’s the case for all stays in that area.

This place has my heart. I Came here as a solo Traveler and had such a warm welcome. Anna is very kind and serves the most delicious breakfast pancakes and Sidney is so open, a very great man. He made sure that i never went hungry and took me to a beatiful secluded waterfall. And if you're planning on visiting Sinharaja he'll Fix you up with a wonderfull guide aswell. Facilities we're clean, the place was quit. Tranquil Homestay did not steal it's name.

A beautiful stay nestled in nature. Rooms were impeccable with everything thought of. Our hosts were wonderful and very friendly. We had been warned of some accomodations in udawalawe making you book safaris through them directly or denying you a room, this is not one of those places. When we checked in we were offered a tour but our hosts were perfectly fine with us having one booked from outside. Dinner buffet was to die for and breakfast was wonderful.

Great people, amazing pool. Best dinner we had in Sri Lanka!!! We didn’t attend any safari, because we loved the place and enjoyed some rest in pool there. Amazing place, very clean- you have to visit and try family dinner!
