Staying at Kandy Living Home Stay was one of the most memorable parts of my trip to Sri Lanka. The home itself is beautifully designed — clean, cozy, and incredibly comfortable — with thoughtful touches that made me feel right at home. The atmosphere is peaceful, and the hosts are warm and welcoming, always ready to help or share insights about the area. One of the absolute highlights of my stay was the cooking class with Chef Janith. He is not only a talented chef but also a wonderful teacher. With great patience and passion, he guided us through each step of preparing a traditional Sri Lankan meal, sharing stories, tips, and local knowledge along the way. The setup was perfect, and the food we created was absolutely delicious. I left Kandy Living not just with amazing memories, but with new cooking skills, a deeper appreciation for Sri Lankan culture, and the feeling of having been truly cared for. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Kandy — it’s more than just a stay; it’s a full, heartfelt experience.

It was one of our best stay. Sri was so helpful and friendly. He picked us up in the city, when we arrived and droped us off when we took the train to Ella. He also organised us train tickets and made our laundry. And the Breakfast was amazing! Typical Sri Lankan food. Thank you Sri for this two days!

Everything was excellent! We all were so tired the night we reached there as we traveled the whole day. But as soon as we entered the house it sparked, refreshed our mind. This is a real hotel feeling stay. Very friendly welcome. Maxi and the chef are so sweet. Loved the location, close to busy Kandy (walking distance to Relic of Tooth) but far enough to have a quite and peaceful stay. The view is really amazing, no matter which room you have, same for breakfast (it's served outside with the stunning view). The rooms are very neat and the bathroom is really nice, hot shower and strong water 💪🏼

The view is unbelievable. The terrace is the perfect spot to relax and read a book! It feels so clean and neat. Plus the host is really amazing and welcoming. The food especially the breakfast felt so good :) I really recommend this place, I had the best experience and as I’ve said the view was the best thing.

We loved our days in Richland's villa. Everything is perfectly clean and new, hosts are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is amazing. The location is perfect, you can go to Kandy by bus. You can also chill in the garden with the two cats and snoopy the dog.

Staying at Amma‘s felt more like visiting good friends then staying at a guesthouse. The house is surrounded by a beautyful garden with tiny humming birds, little froggys and naturally the two cats and the dog of the house. I wish I could spend more evenings with Amma, Namasha, Lullu, Duke and Suki. Actually, in future I will :)
