I truly recommend House of Freedom. It is a perfect place if you want to experience the local culture and see how the locals live. I've spent 24 hours with Isuru. We had a trip around Bundala, a motor night safari and morning birds watching. Additionally lunch in his family house and evening barbecue. The house and room are humble, but everything is clean and the hospitality is amazing. The sourounding is breathtaking. No tourists around. It was an unfargetable experience!

Fantastic location away from the crowds! Right on the edge of Bundala park, with over 195 different kind of birds, and plenty of monkeys, elephants, crocodiles, water buffalo etc. Ravindu is a fabulous host and he arranged an early morning bicycle bird watching tour which was amazing and in the afternoon a motorbike safari, also fab. It's a little far from restaurants but because Ravindu and his mum are excellent chefs that's no problem at all, we had dinner both days and it was absolutely delicious, great breakfast as well and he arranged our afternoon tea at the lakeside to enjoy the sunset 🙏 Room had good air-conditioneding too. 100% recommended !

We had a fantastic stay. We arrived and were warmly welcomed. Our room was ready and it looked great. We had a room with sea view. We were immediately offered a beer on arrival and in the evening the host prepared fresh fish, shrimps, chips and rice for us. One of the best dishes we've had in Sri Lanka. The accommodation is located directly at sea, so you have a lot of peace here. The host is very helpful and will make your stay comfortable.

We stayed there one night to do the Yala safari and we had a really nice experience staying here. The couple is very kind and welcolming, they arrangend a taxi for us. The breakfast was very good with fresh tasty fruits and typical food. The house has an amazing view, is beautiful and comfoterble.

We had the best stay at Tranquil Sanctuary Yala. The room was lovely and clean. The views were amazing. The best part for us was the hosts, they were so kind and helpful. They arranged the Safari for us, made lovely meals, and sorted anything else we needed help with during our stay.
