If you want a 5 star resort, this is not your place! If you want a river view with birds, a friendly chef/manager and a clean, basic stay- stay here! Fan, air conditioning and a clean room with hot water. No other people were staying; this suited us as we could enjoy the view, birds and relax. The boys organised cold beer for us- ask the price, give them the $ and you have beer. Overall, a great place in a secluded spot. There might be water on the floor after a shower but this. Dies overnight. If this sounds great, go for it! The more expensive places are probably similar but we could have stayed have stayed longer. Thanks to Chef, Manager Akila. Very good spotter of birds and a friendly person with lots of local knowledge.

Amazing location in green area. We spotted several animals while just sitting on the balcony (including monkeys, peacocks and kingfisher). The owners are very friendly and helpful, they made our stay very comfortable.

Bandula and his family took fantastic care of us. We were treated to first class home cooked food and very caring care. We would also like to give our warmest recommendations to Bandula who guided us in the rainforest. He arranged everything and we received knowledgeable guidance among plants and animals always conveyed with an infectious laugh and enthusiasm. This should not be missed as it was very affordable.

Very comfy room. Good WiFi which is rare in Sri Lanka. Host is a forest guide so he can set the tour up for you including pick up and drop off. Breakfast is a good size.Tuk Tuk from Deniyaya bus station 2000 LKR

Lovely lovely staff! Both Ana and Sydney are incredible and super attentive. Nestled right in the jungle it is a beautiful tranquil and peaceful place. A bus ride away from Sinharaja rainforest and also a great ambience to just be in peace and be introspective! Ana's banana pancakes for breafast are also increeedible!

I had a fantastic stay at this villa in Dellawa. The location is serene and surrounded by nature, offering a truly relaxing escape. One of the highlights was kayaking—such a peaceful way to take in the surroundings. The environment overall is calm and quiet, perfect for unwinding. Very happy with our stay here. This is a family-run lodge so it's not super fancy, but the hosts make you feel so welcome especially by cooking so so many dishes for breakfast and dinner. Easily the best home cooking I've had in Sri Lanka. The hosts are super nice, and the room has an amazing view on the river edge (as per the name), and you can swim in the river, which is nice. It is a close walk to Doranella entrance and the location is secluded from the main roads and village so it's great if you're looking for more privacy.
